“The importance of the Concept in Designing”

Hi, how are you? Hopefully always healthy fit cheerful yeah ;). Glad I can meet You back in the day on Friday ahead of this weekend.

On this occasion, I will share about the importance of the concept in designing a masterpiece of design we. Why I raised this theme? Because I often find, a lot of people, designers, generally those who are beginners, when to create a work of design, they don’t (forget to) pay attention about the concept.

Many are “stuck” or just focus on the “pretty” and “cool” design they create. “Stuck” on the “good” and “beautiful” only. They “forget” that a work must have the concept of a “strong”. Must have a “story” and philosophy of “strong”.

“Beautiful”, “cool”, “nice”, “beautiful” and the other it actually is “relative”. The levels of relative for each person is very different in see something, for example such as in viewing a work of design. for the A a the design of the Z will look beautiful, nice, cool. But not necessarily for the B. Maybe the B look at the design of the Z was just plain ordinary. May be different for the C, si D, and so on.

However, with the concept of “strong” and able to “tell the story”, then it is a masterpiece of design will be able to “tell her” in others. These works have the power of stories. These works have a philosophy that is “strong”. So that the work will give a meaning and a message for anyone who saw it.

People will not be “stuck” again on the words “good”, “beautiful”, “awesome”, and other. They will be able to see and feel the power of the concept and the message to be conveyed by the work of such design. Without a concept, then a design will not give the meaning and impact/impact for the audience.

This will be very unfortunate. A masterpiece of design is not able to “tell a story” to see it. Despite the work of such design are very pretty, nice, cool, yet will certainly leave the impression that “deep” for the audience of his. Moreover, if the work is great it looks, certainly does not give the impression that mean for people.

Also what’s more, the levels of “relatively” nice, pretty, it’s very different for everyone, as we have discussed earlier.

Therefore, as a designer/Animator, You should be able to make the concept of precise design and powerful for Your works. You don’t just “stuck” to make the design work “pretty” and “cool”, but the work You must have the concept of a strong, powerful story, a strong philosophy.

For example: You are asked by a client to design a logo design business engaged in the field of catering. Then You should design the design of the logo with the concept of robust design and precise, not just pretty and cool.

If a work of design has a design concept, then the work will look “pretty” and “cool” for every person, no longer only for a handful of people only. Because that “talk” is the concept of the design, no longer subjectivity of each person who certainly has the assessment of the levels of the art that is different.

Next week I will discuss in more detail about how to make and design a design concept, based on the experience that I have ever worked for.
