LIABLE PLANETS OTHER THAN ON EARTH

Luyten B

Luyten b is a confirmed exoplanet, most likely rocky, orbiting within the habitable zone of the nearby red dwarf star Luyten. It is one of the most Earth-like planets ever discovered and is the closest potentially habitable exoplanet.

Luyten b is considered a habitable planet and has the potential to have life on it. In fact, scientists have sent messages to communicate with aliens. The planet itself is 12.4 light years away and is three times larger than Earth.

Kepler-186f

Kepler-186f is an extrasolar planet. Kepler-186f is 500 light years from Earth. Its size itself is similar to that of Earth, about ten percent larger than Earth. Even so, its mass is unknown. This planet orbits its star every 130 days. This planet was discovered in 2014 using the transit method.

Kepler-62f

The planet Kepler-62f is 1,200 light-years away. The planet orbits its star every 267 days. This habitable planet is 40 percent the size of our planet.

This planet is the outermost of the five planets that orbit a star smaller and cooler than the sun. The star was discovered by the US space agency’s Kepler space telescope (NASA) in 2013.

Recent computer simulations suggest the type of atmosphere found in Kepler 62f may be able to sustain life.

Kepler-1229b

Kepler-1229b is an extrasolar planet about 770 light years away, this planet can be found in the constellation Cygnus. It is a rocky planet that has a mass much greater than Earth. This star was discovered in 2016 using the transit method.

Wolf 1061c

Wolf 1061c atau WL 1061c adalah sebuah planet ekstrasurya yang mengorbit di dalam zona layak huni bintang katai merah, Wolf 1061 di konstelasi Ophiuchus.

The planet is only 14 light years from Earth. Wolf 1061c is one of the closest planets we can live to. Unlike Earth, this planet has a larger mass and size.

Kepler 452b

Kepler-452b is an exoplanet orbiting a sun-like star. This exoplanet is located 1,402 light years away from Earth or about 430 parsecs in the constellation Cygnus. This exoplanet has been identified by the Hubble Space Telescope as published on July 23, 2015 by NASA. This exoplanet is a rocky planet which means it is a super-Earth. This star surrounds its parent star Kepler-452 in the habitable zone.

With a distance from Earth of approximately 1,403 light years, with the speed of the New Horizons Space Vehicle which has an average speed of about 59,000km/hour or 37,000miles/hour, it will take approximately 26 million years to get there.

Kepler 442b

Kepler-442b is a confirmed Earth-sized exoplanet, possibly rocky, orbiting within the habitable zone of K-type main sequence star Kepler-442, about 1,206 light-years, from Earth in the constellation Lyra. Without a super-fast spacecraft, we probably won’t be getting there any time soon.

This planet is potentially more habitable than Earth. According to the Astrophysical Journal Earth’s feasibility rating is 0.829, while Kepler-442b’s is 0.836.

Gliese 667 Cc

The planet was discovered in 2009 and is 23 light years from Earth. Although habitable, Gliese 667 Cc is very different from our planet. This planet has a much greater gravity than Earth. In addition, the planet is much darker than our earth.

Gliese 667 Cc orbits its star every 28 days, and is 0.125 AU from its star. It fits within the habitable zone. Gliese 667 Cc orbits eight times closer to its parent star than Earth orbits the Sun. Its mass is 3.8 times the mass of Earth, suggesting that it may be a rocky world. It is probably about 50% larger than Earth. The planet receives the same amount of energy from its star as the Earth receives from the Sun. The parent star will appear more than three times larger in the planet’s sky than the Sun on Earth.

Proxima Centauri b

Just four light years away, Proxima Centauri b has a mass 1.3 times that of Earth. This planet is also in the habitable zone. Even so, the surface can be very cold, reaching -40 Celsius. In addition, there will be a lot of radiation that needs to be treated. However, it can be tricked by creating new home technology.

The planet was discovered using the radial velocity method (Doppler spectroscopy), in which the periodic Doppler shift of the spectral lines of a star indicates an object orbiting the star. From this method, the parent star’s radial velocity relative to Earth varies with an amplitude of about 2 meters (6.6 ft) per second.
