Until BI officially implements the system, users who make inter-bank transfers will be charged an admin fee of IDR 6,500. For some users, the admin fee charged for inter-bank transfer transactions may be quite large.
However, users no longer need to worry. Currently, there are several financial applications that offer inter-bank transfer features without admin fees, one of which is Flip.
Flip allows users to transfer between banks at a cost of IDR 0 or free. This application can be downloaded via Google Play Store and App Store.
Users can use Flip to avoid transfer fees to and from BTPN, BTPN Wow, BRI, Mandiri, Mandiri Syariah, Muamalat, BCA, CIMB Niaga, CIMB Niaga Syariah, BNI, BNI Syariah, and Jenius banks.
To be able to make inter-bank transfers free of admin fees on Flip, please follow the steps below.
• Open the Flip application and select the “Send Money” menu.
• Next, select the bank that will be used for the transfer to the Flip account.
• Select the destination bank and enter the destination account number.
• Select the transfer method to use.
Users can choose the “Non Priority Transfer” method to make transactions without admin fees. However, these transactions will be processed according to the queue.
• While the “Priority Transfer” option will cost you 2,500, but it has a faster time. Generally this transaction will be successfully processed within 15 minutes, if there is no disruption to the bank system.
• After having a transfer method, the user can enter the amount of money to be transferred.
• Slide the toggle on the “Notify Destination” option and enter the recipient’s e-mail address to send proof of transfer to the recipient when the data is successfully processed.
• Then click the “Ok, Data is Correct” button on the application.
• Flip will make a transaction review. On this page, there is a balance “Unique code” which will be entered into the deposit. Click continue.
• On the next page, click the “Ready, I Agree” button when you have read and understood the terms and conditions of Flip.
• Flip will provide transaction details. Users can transfer funds to the Flip account number listed with the recipient’s name PT Fliptech Lentera IP.
• If the user has already transferred funds, click “I’ve Transferred”.
• The transfer process will be processed in real time immediately, but there is a queue time of around 20-30 minutes. Users can close the application while waiting for the transaction to be processed.
• Flip will notify you when the transaction is successfully processed.
• Flip will also send proof of transfer to Flip’s account and e-mail the user. Proof of this transfer can be downloaded or shared with friends.
• Users can view the history of transactions made on Flip through the “Transaction Records” menu.
It should be noted that transactions made through Flip have a minimum nominal of IDR 10,000 and a maximum of IDR 20 million. There is no maximum number of transactions per day.
Transfer services to Flip account can be done via ATM, SMS Banking, Mobile Banking, and Internet Banking. Flip only serves banks in Indonesia with rupiah currency and cannot auto-debit from accounts.
The balance of the “Unique Code” received by the user will be entered into the deposit and can be found when it reaches a nominal value of IDR 10,000.
