1.Dimension 1200
The Dimensity 1200 is a Mediatek chipset introduced in 2021 along with the Dimensity 1100. Both chipsets are built on a 6m fabrication process. Mediatek itself claims that these two chipsets have 22 percent stronger performance and up to 25 percent power efficiency than the Dimensity 1000 series.
The Dimensity 1200 itself is a chipset with eight cores divided into three clusters. The first cluster is three 2.6 GHz ARM Cortex-A78 cores for fast performance, the second cluster is one 3 GHz ARM Cortex-A78 core for faster performance, and the third cluster is four 2 GHz ARM Cortex-A55 cores for power saving. While the graphics processor on this chipset is the ARM Mali-G77 MC9.
The surprising thing is that this chipset is claimed by Mediatek to have the ability to process photos and videos with better quality than the iPhone 12 line. 2.Dimension 1100
The Dimensity 1100 is a chipset that has almost the same performance as the Dimensity 1200. It’s just that in terms of benchmark numbers, the Dimensity 1100 loses to the Dimensity 1200. For GPUs, there’s a slight difference in type. The Dimensity 1000+, Dimensity 1000, and Dimensity 1000L use Arm Mali-G77 with slightly different types. While the Dimensity 1000C comes with a slightly lower GPU type, the Arm Mali-G57 MC5.

4.Dimension 900
The Dimensity 900 comes as a chipset that is used to maximize the capabilities of mid-range smartphones that support 5G networks. This chipset is designed with 6 nm fabrication and has capabilities such as faster CPU performance and better connectivity options.
The Dimensity 900 comes with a configuration of two 2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 cores for performance and six 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 cores for more power efficient performance. As for the graphics processor, the GPU Mali-G78 MC4 is used.
This chipset has interesting support such as support for the use of LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1, dual 5G networks that can run simultaneously, and also support for a 108 MP camera. There is also a video recording feature at 4K@30fps thanks to the 4K HDR Engine technology.

5.Dimension 820
The Dimensity 820 comes as a more affordable chipset than the Dimensity 1000 series but has almost the same features. This chipset is both built with 7 nm fabrication with technology features that are also used in the Dimensity 1000 series.
Some technologies that are similar to the Dimensity 1000 are HyperEngine 2.0, MediaTek APU 3.0, and Dual 5G SIM with VoNR support. The Dimensity 820 is also referred to by Mediatek as “The World’s Most Power Efficient Smartphone 5G Modem Design”.
The Dimensity 820 has a chipset configuration with 4 Cortex-A76 cores at 2.6 GHz for performance and 4 Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz for more power efficient performance. As for the graphics processor, the GPU Mali-G57 MC5 is used.
The CPU and GPU configuration of the Dimensity 820 is slightly similar to the Dimensity 1000C. The difference is, Dimensity 1000C uses Cortex A77. This clearly makes the Dimensity 820’s performance actually slightly below the Dimensity 1000c. Meanwhile, phones that use Dimensity 820 include the Redmi 10X and Redmi 10X Pro.
