The Tadpole Galaxy is a barred spiral galaxy whose structure has been disrupted by other galaxies and is located 420 million light years from Earth, north of the constellation Draco. This galaxy has the dramatic shape of an elongated band of stars that spans approximately 280,000 light-years; these structures are often associated with mergers (collisions) with other, smaller galaxies, and are believed to have occurred about 100 million years ago. The Tadpole Galaxy contains many bright blue star clusters.
According to one hypothesis, a more compact and dense intruder galaxy passes in front of the Tadpole Galaxy—from left to right from Earth’s perspective—and is ejected behind the Tadpole Galaxy due to the mutual gravitational attraction between the two galaxies. During this close encounter, the tidal force (tidal force) ejects the stars, gas, and dust of the spiral galaxy, forming the visible tail. The intruder galaxy itself, estimated to be about 300,000 light-years behind the Tadpole Galaxy, can be seen through the foreground spiral arm at the top left. As the name implies, the Tadpole Galaxy will likely lose its tail with age, the star cluster in its tail will form satellite galaxies that are smaller than the large spiral galaxy it collides with.
Long tail galaxy
This galaxy is located in the Draco constellation in the northern hemisphere of the Earth. This Arp 188 galaxy looks like a round head, and has a long tail. This galaxy is located about 420 million light years from Earth. Its long tail also consists of blue stars. In contrast to the stars on the head which is reddish yellow.
Galaxy Collision
This tadpole-shaped galaxy actually consists of 2 colliding galaxies. The events of galaxies colliding or merging are quite common in the universe.
In this tadpole-shaped galaxy, the head and tail are 2 different galaxies. The “head” galaxy is a spiral galaxy that is larger in size. The “tail” galaxy is smaller in size.
Not always like a tadpole
The gravitational force of larger galaxies pulls on smaller galaxies, forming a tail-like line. This galaxy is about 390,000 light years in diameter. While the tail is 180,000 light years long. The shape of this galaxy is not always like a tadpole, lo. The “tail” part will eventually move around the galaxy “head”.
Tadpole galaxy dimensions
The Tadpole Galaxy or the Tadpole Galaxy is a barred spiral galaxy located 420 million light years from Earth in the northern constellation Draco Constellation. Its most dramatic feature is 280,000 light years away. The Tadpole Galaxy is filled with bright blue star clusters. The Tadpole Galaxy has a diameter of 280,000 Iy.
Facts about the tadpole galaxy
The Tadpole Galaxy is located 420 million light years from Earth.
The Tadpole Galaxy (Tadpole) is to the north of the Draco Constellation Galaxy.
This galaxy has a dramatic shape in the form of an elongated path. The elongated path contains the stretched.
The structure of the Tadpole Galaxy is thought to have collided with other small galaxies and occurred about 100 million years ago.
According to research, the tadpole galaxy contains a large number of bright blue star clusters.
This galaxy is called one of the galaxies with a unique and beautiful name.
Researchers think if the Tadpole Galaxy allows there to be habitable planets like Earth.
The Tadpole Galaxy will likely lose its tail as it ages.
The star cluster in the tail may over time also form satellite galaxies smaller than the colliding spiral galaxies.
The size of the spiral-shaped Tadpole Galaxy is probably slightly larger than the galaxy we know, the Milky Way.
Quoted from Stargate, if the Tadpole Galaxy (Tadpole) is 10 times hotter and 1 million times brighter than the galaxy we live in, the Milky Way Galaxy.
