As we know, the earth is the only planet in the universe that can be inhabited by living things. Many materials are the source of wealth on this earth. Many of them are used by creatures as provisions for survival, especially by humans as intelligent beings.
As an intelligent being, has it ever crossed your mind, how can there be earth? How can the earth be inhabited?
In the past, many scientists have questioned this in their minds. Finally, their thoughts became a theory that people believe in until now. Here are five popular theories that predict the process of the earth’s occurrence.
1.Nebula Theory (Fog)
The Nebula theory was put forward by two scientists, namely Immanuel Kant (1753) and Petere de Laplace (1796). The nebula theory is also known as the Kant-Laplace theory. This theory explains that the sky and solar system originated from fog. The mist contains hydrogen gas.
One time, the fog was processed and spinning very fast. If described maybe like a whirlwind. From there, formed a large sphere, which has a gravitational force, namely the sun.
The other mists proceed in the same way. Be the planets, one of which is the earth that we now live in. How, you believe in this theory.
2.Gas Tidal Theory (Tidal)
The Tidal Gas Theory was put forward by James Jeans and Harold Jeffrey (1918). In theory, they say that hundreds of millions of years ago there was a star that approached the sun. As a result, tides occur on the body of the sun and cause the formation of giant mountains on the body of the sun.
The mountains make an incandescent tongue with a long stretch. Then, this incandescent tongue forms a gas-condensation which is then split apart. Finally, formed the objects that we know as planets, one of which is the earth.
3.Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang theory is the most popular theory and was discovered recently by scientists. In this theory it is argued that the solar system did not occur by itself, but through a process over billions of years.
This theory states that in this universe there is a giant cloud of fog that rotates on its axis. This spin is so fast that it causes some to be dislodged from the center.
In this theory it is also stated that there is a large part that forms a giant disk. This giant disc exploded to form a nebula. This nebula (smoke) cooled for 4.6 billion years.
From this process eventually formed the Milky Way. However, small parts of the giant fog cooled and condensed until it eventually became the planets, one of which is the earth we live in today.
4.Twin Star Theory
The twin star theory was proposed by Astronomer, RA. Lyttleton. In this theory it is said that there were two twin stars in this world before eventually becoming planets.
Then, one of the stars exploded. This explosion scatters pieces of material that eventually form into planets. Meanwhile, the sun is an unexploded twin star. That’s why, the planet made from the explosion of the star had a gravitational force around the sun, just like the earth.
5.Planetismimal Theory
This theory was put forward by Forest Ray Morton, an American astronomer and Thomas C. Chamberlein, a geologist in 1916. In their theory they argued that the sun had existed since the beginning.
Once upon a time, there was a star larger than the size of the sun approaching the sun. This results in a tidal attraction on the sun so that some of the sun’s material is released and scattered in its orbit.
Over time, the material resembles a giant flame and moves away from the sun. However, the smaller material is swept away by the larger material and then unites and rotates in its orbit. In the end, planets were created from this material, one of which is the earth we live in.
