Huawei is expected to expand its lineup of high-end HiSilicon Kirin chipsets called the Kirin 9010, which is also an upgrade from the Kirin 9000 and Kirin 9000E.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If everything goes according to plan, then the company will successfully switch to 3nm process technology and release a new SoC in the fourth quarter of 2021. The chipset will debut in the Huawei Mate 50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Giz China reports, prior to releasing the 5nm Kirin 9000 SoC, there were reports the Mate 40 might be the last Huawei flagship to use Kirin. But sources believe that is not the case. The Huawei P50 phone is also believed to feature the Kirin 9000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If Huawei succeeds, Qualcomm and Samsung could also switch to 3nm processes before the end of the year. Apple is expected to prepare a 3nm SoC that will be produced by TSMC, but it won’t appear until 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
