This tradition is a new year ceremony as a thanksgiving to Petara (god) for the sustenance that has been given and asking for His blessings for the coming year. This activity is based on the beliefs of the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When referring to the Islamic religion which teaches about sustenance, there is an important note that must be applied. In addition to expecting increased sustenance for a servant, the sustenance that comes must always coincide with blessings as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Ngehawa\u2019 k<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This Ngehawa&#8217; k traditional ceremony comes from the East Kalimantan area. This traditional ceremony is a tradition that is often carried out by the Dayak community at weddings. In this event, many traditional objects are shown. The number of objects displayed depends on the descendants of the bride and groom. If the bride is of aristocratic descent, then the groom is obliged to provide according to the request of the bride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to dictio.id (23\/3\/2018), Ngehawa&#8217;k also contains customary punishment. The Babalian Tandik tradition is a ritual activity carried out by the Dayak tribe for a period of a week. And the highlight of the event is usually done in front of the mouth of Goa with offerings of slaughtering sacrificial animals.
